As the Community Engagement Librarian, Sam's goals are to collaborate and connect with members of the community to build library partnerships. They regularly meet with community members and local organizations to plan programs and develop resources. They also do a lot of equity and inclusion work as part of their job; Sam plans library programs that focus on anti-racism, acceptance, LGBTQ+ identity, and equality. 

Sam believes that listening is an important way to understand the needs of a community. Are you part of a local group or organization that wants to collaborate with the library?
