Sunday Arts & Culture Series: Golden Lane, traditional Irish music featuring Irish step dancers
Sunday, March 162:00—4:00 PMMerry RoomDuxbury Free Library77 Alden Street, Duxbury, MA, 02332
We will have traditional Irish music and dancing, just in time for St. Patrick's Day!
Golden Lane is a group of New England musicians who specialize in performing traditional jigs, reels, and other types of dance music of Ireland, with songs sung in both English and Gaelic. For this St. Patrick’s Day holiday weekend event, a group of Irish-step dancers from the Maureen Haley School will accompany the musicians with dancing.
This event is intended for all ages- The group's performances are always "family-friendly" and interaction with the audience (e.g. questions about the music or the instruments, kids dancing, clapping/foot-tapping, Grandpa Eddie's version of "Danny Boy") is (mostly) welcome.
Capacity: 80 of 80 spaces available.
