Kris Gaskin will give a Gallery Talk on Tuesday, September 10 at 11:00 on the second floor of the Duxbury Free Library in front of the display case.

The Duxbury Rural and Historical Society will be showcasing samplers and other examples of hand embroidery from the DRHS collection in the display case, including sets of mother/daughter samplers from 19th century Duxbury.

Committee members Toni Orosz and Kris Gaskins will discuss samplers, and are pleased to have as a guest speaker Elizabeth Creedon, artist and creator of the current local epic embroidery project, the Plymouth Tapestry.  This project has been mentioned in past Gallery Talks, so Elizabeth will talk about the Tapestry from concept to reality.

This event is presented by the Clothing and Textiles Committee of the DRHS in partnership with the DFL.
